According to reports from Brazil, Manchester United have revived their interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes. This development follows the late collapse of the player's proposed 45 million euro move to Atletico Madrid.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that the deal for Ederson is off. Manchester United informed Atalanta of their decision after the club altered its summer transfer strategy. Representatives from Atalanta maintain that the midfielder remains fully fit and expect him to rejoin their squad.

Reports indicate that Ederson was carrying a knee injury. Following Brazil's elimination from the World Cup, the English club requested additional intensive medical examinations before finalizing a deal valued at 35 million pounds plus add-ons. Based on the results, Manchester United chose to abandon the transfer.

The Brazilian outlet Globo claims that United have now signaled their interest in Joao Gomes. The club had previously established contact with the 25-year-old at the conclusion of last season, but his move to Spain appeared certain before final negotiations involving agent Jorge Mendes broke down.
