Subscribe Sekarang →Manchester United wants to completely rebuild its central midfield options this summer. The club aims to bring in three new players. Brazil international Ederson is expected to be the first arrival, pending the second part of his medical examination in England.
The Red Devils previously missed out on targets like Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, and Elliot Anderson. Now they are actively exploring alternative options. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the club will focus its efforts on Bournemouth's Alex Scott and Real Madrid's Tchouameni.
Securing the France international seemed difficult at first. Tchouameni remains a regular starter at the Bernabeu when healthy. Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho does not want to lose the 26-year-old midfielder this summer.
However, the final decision might be out of Mourinho's hands. According to transfer reporter Dean Jones, Real Madrid needs player exits to fund further squad additions. This comes after the Spanish side signed Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, and Bernardo Silva.
Based on reports from Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid could sanction this blockbuster sale if Manchester United presents huge money. The Red Devils are reportedly readying a bid worth over €100 million, which equates to roughly £85 million.
Jones noted that Tchouameni will not make a final decision on his club future while competing in the World Cup. His French national team is currently preparing to face Morocco in the tournament's quarter-finals.
