Solo to Host Semanggi Festival with 3,000 Free Dawet Portions

A major cultural and culinary event will soon return to the city of Solo. According to reports from tribunnews.com, the annual Semanggi Festival #6 is scheduled to take place at Lapangan Losari, located in the Semanggi sub-district of Pasar Kliwon, Surakarta. The festival runs from July 20 to July 25, 2026.

The youth organization Karang Taruna Kelurahan Semanggi initiated the annual event to promote local culture, entertainment, and small businesses. Based on the event details, the distribution of 3,000 free portions of dawet remains the most anticipated attraction for the public.

Visitors can expect diverse entertainment every day. The afternoon activities begin at 3:00 PM Western Indonesia Time, while the main evening performances start at 7:00 PM Western Indonesia Time. The lineup features Kalimba Music, kroncong music, magic shows, and various traditional folk arts.

The venue will also host a large bazaar featuring micro, small, and medium enterprises. Local vendors will sell culinary treats, creative handicrafts, and traditional snacks unique to the Semanggi area. Organizers intend for the festival to strengthen community bonds and stimulate the creative economy in the region.
