The faction loyal to Pakubuwono XIV Purboyo flatly denied this request. KPA Singonagoro, speaking as the spokesperson for Purboyo, stated that the restricted zone must remain closed because the Keputren is strictly a private residential area.
Based on reports from TribunSolo, the denial led to a tense standoff inside the palace grounds. The confrontation involved GKR Koes Murtiyah Wandansari, who heads the Lembaga Dewan Adat, and high-ranking palace officials including GKR Anom Sekar Jati and Ana Muji Rahayu.
Following the initial confrontation, the situation grew more complicated. A delegation of abdi dalem courtiers preparing to depart for the coastal ritual found themselves stranded. The main Kori Kamandungan gate was kept shut by the Lembaga Dewan Adat, forcing the group to exit through a side door.
KPA Singonagoro expressed deep regret over the blockade of the main palace entrance. He argued that the Lembaga Dewan Adat should follow proper administrative channels. He insisted they must submit a formal request for access through GKRP Timoer Rumbay Kusuma Dewayani.
Meanwhile, KPH Eddy Wirabhumi, serving as the executive chairman of the Lembaga Dewan Adat Keraton Surakarta Hadiningrat, defended the move. He stated that his faction had clear structural reasons for demanding entry into both the Keputren and the Ndalem Ageng areas.
