The historic city of Solo in Central Java offers a compelling destination for families and travelers seeking cultural enrichment this Friday. The local government has curated a diverse calendar of events throughout July 2026, ranging from traditional cultural exhibitions and religious gatherings to live musical performances.

According to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), the weather in Solo is expected to remain partly cloudy and pleasant all day. This makes it ideal for weekend exploration, though motorists should expect heavy traffic along Jalan Slamet Riyadi as the weekend approaches.

A major highlight of today's schedule is the Solo International Art Camp held at the Sasana Krida Kusuma. The initiative is organized by local cultural institutions in collaboration with creative groups, including the Moko Dance Studio. The program provides comprehensive workshops covering musical instruments, talent development classes, and fundamental music notation.

Based on updates from the official tourism account @pariwisatasolo, traditional art enthusiasts can also attend the Wayang Orang Sriwedari performance tonight. The classical drama takes place at the Gedung Wayang Orang Sriwedari on Jalan Kebangkitan Nasional, Laweyan.

The performance is scheduled to begin at 8:30 PM local time, with the ticket booth opening earlier at 6:30 PM. Admission is priced at Rp20,000 for domestic visitors and Rp50,000 for international tourists, with payments processed digitally via QRIS.
