Adams had recently transferred from Stellenbosch to Mamelodi Sundowns. He established himself in the national team after making his international debut in 2024. According to official records, his strong club performances in the Betway Premiership earned him a spot in South Africa's squad for the 2026 World Cup, where he appeared in all three group matches.
