The Jakarta Metropolitan Police raided a three-story shophouse in the Cipete area of South Jakarta on Friday. The building stood silent and abandoned when investigators arrived. This raid marks the thirteenth location targeted in an expanding corruption investigation.

Investigators brought in local community witnesses to observe the search. The officers presented a formal search warrant and a court order before breaking the chains on the door with a grinder.
Based on reports from the scene, police officers forced their way through the entrance to access all three floors. Inside the dusty rooms, investigators found and seized various documents and computer equipment. Police officials stated it was too early to inventory the full scope of the seized items.
This latest raid follows a series of high-profile searches conducted earlier in the week. On Wednesday, police operations targeted a currency exchange and the de'Clan Signature Cafe in South Jakarta, alongside a residential property in Bogor, West Java. Those previous searches yielded gold bars and foreign currency worth billions of rupiah.
According to police statements, the overarching investigation connects several major corruption scandals. These include a coal procurement fraud at the state electricity company PLN which caused blackouts, the ASABRI corruption case, and a debt settlement dispute between PT CBS and PT KNI, a subsidiary of the state-owned steel giant Krakatau Steel.
