Parallel Criminal and Ethical Investigations Launched Against Officer
The Internal Affairs Division (Propam) of the Central Java Regional Police has detained an officer identified as First Police Inspector (Aiptu) N. This disciplinary action follows an official report filed by a 30-year-old female victim, MAN, hailing from Cirebon, West Java, who alleged that the physical abuse had been occurring systematically since December 2023.
The legal proceedings against the Tegal City police officer are moving forward through two separate legal tracks. While the Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) of the National Police handles the criminal assault elements of the case, the Central Java Police's Propam is concurrently spearheading an internal ethics and professional conduct probe.
