BASE Entertainment Reinvents Horror Tropes with Paket Santet

The young star revealed that the film's premise is unsettlingly relevant to modern daily life, altering her personal habits after production wrapped. Instead of traditional occult symbols like straw dolls or graveyard soil, this upcoming feature from BASE Entertainment channels supernatural terror through ordinary, everyday packages delivered to unsuspecting victims.

Director Dinna Jayanti explained that the narrative thrives on the vulnerability of a close-knit group of friends facing an extraordinary threat from an ordinary object. The psychological tension escalates because the characters never know who will be targeted next, transforming a mundane routine into a direct source of dread.

The plot centers on seven university students whose lives unravel after receiving a mysterious delivery that was never meant for them. The ensemble cast features Fatih Unru as Deva, Yasamin Jasem as Bella, Azela Putri as Kiki, Fadly Faisal as Ale, Gabriella Ekaputri as Celia, Farandika as Glen, and content creator Fiki Naki as Firza, marking his official silver screen debut.

Co-star Fatih Unru emphasized that the production team focused heavily on cultivating authentic chemistry to make the group's breakdown feel earned and impactful. Audiences can experience the collaborative tension firsthand when "Paket Santet" arrives in Indonesian theaters nationwide on August 27, 2026.
