Navigating Fast-Paced Scripts and Evolving Television Storylines

Speaking at a press conference in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Chicco Jerikho highlighted the vast operational differences between filming feature movies and daily television dramas. The actor emphasized that the rapid turnaround for daily soap operas requires a high level of adaptability and quick thinking on set.

The primary hurdle in a daily production schedule is the sudden arrival of scripts, forcing actors to quickly master their scenes. Chicco noted that because television dramas can run for hundreds of episodes, the narrative can abruptly shift from intense drama to romance, introducing unexpected plot twists that require immediate adjustments.

"The challenge is anticipating every scene without losing the core character we have built since the very first episode," Chicco explained. To maintain character consistency despite changing storylines, he focuses deeply on the foundation of his role throughout the evolving production.

In "Terlanjur Mencintaimu", Chicco portrays Elio, an obstetrician, marking his very first time playing a medical professional on screen. To prepare for the role under tight deadlines, the actor relied on online medical videos to learn authentic procedural techniques and terminology before starring alongside co-star Marsha Aruan and a supporting cast featuring Erdin Werdyna and Verlita Evelyn ahead of the show's national television premiere on July 4.
