Legendary Vocalist Prioritizes Nutritious Greens and Lean Proteins Over Carbs

Speaking at the Trans TV Studio in Mampang, South Jakarta, the "Berdiri Bulu Romaku" hitmaker explained that her decision to alter her eating habits was not driven by a desire for weight loss. Instead, she chose to adapt her lifestyle out of solidarity with her husband, who must strictly limit his carbohydrate intake due to medical recommendations.

As the primary cook in the household, the legendary vocalist felt it was natural to mirror her partner's dietary restrictions, eventually leading her to phase out rice almost entirely. The 68-year-old artist noted that she now rarely consumes the traditional staple, limiting it to a maximum of once a week or skipping it altogether.

To compensate for the lack of rice, Hetty ensures her nutritional requirements are met through a balanced intake of traditional vegetable dishes, including "sayur asem", "sayur lodeh", spinach, and corn. She also incorporates pure lean meat twice a week into her meal rotation to retain her stamina and physical strength without consuming unnecessary fats.

Beyond her clean eating regimen, the iconic singer fortifies her daily routine with targeted health supplements, integrating vitamins, collagen, and fish oil into her schedule. She emphasizes that maintaining vitality in one's senior years requires proactive investment, operating under the philosophy that staying healthy is a invaluable asset.
