Joint Security Forces Uncover Syndicate Implicating Law Enforcement Officials
The illicit drug trafficking operation was intercepted at the Bakauheni Port Seaport Interdiction checkpoint in South Lampung by a joint task force comprising the Lampung Regional Police Narcotics Directorate and the South Lampung Police. During the operation, authorities seized five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine alongside 202 ecstasy pills from the suspects.
Four individuals, identified by their initials as HS, HB, H, and DK, were arrested on the spot on Saturday, June 27, at approximately 12:30 PM local time. Investigation into the suspects revealed a sophisticated network involving dishonorably discharged and active-duty members of Indonesia's state security apparatus.

"The Lampung Regional Police Narcotics Directorate team, in cooperation with the South Lampung Police, successfully foiled the smuggling of meth and ecstasy at Bakauheni Port," stated Lampung Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Commissioner Yuni Iswandari. She confirmed that active members of both the military and the police force were taken into custody and are currently detained for further investigation.
The profiles of the detained suspects include DK, an active-duty Indonesian Navy personnel stationed in Lampung, and HB, an active police officer from the Kelapa Dua Mobile Brigade Command (SatBrimob). The other two accomplices were identified as HR, a civilian, and HS, a dishonorably discharged member of the Army's special forces command (Kopassus).
