Media and Academic Collaboration Drive Regional Governance Excellence
Banten Deputy Governor Dr. H. Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah accepted the prestigious accolade on Monday at the Menara Kompas building in Jakarta. Banten was recognized alongside nine other regional heads from across Indonesia for showcasing significant advancements in local governance, specifically focusing on the optimization of rural road networks to boost regional connectivity.
The evaluation process was conducted by an independent panel featuring prominent academic figures, including National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Chief Researchers Prof. Ir. Syahrir Ika and Prof. Dr. Lili Romli. Their rigorous assessment ensured that the recognized local administrations demonstrated quantifiable breakthroughs in community-centric public services and long-term infrastructural sustainability.

"While labor relations typically function on a tripartite system, successful regional development requires a pentapartite collaboration involving workers, entrepreneurs, the government, academia, and the media," Dimyati noted after the ceremony. He emphasized that the strategic integration of social and mainstream media is crucial for ensuring transparent information transformation and maintaining direct public engagement.
Attending on behalf of the central government, the Head of the Indonesian Communications Agency (Bakom RI) Dr. Muhammad Qodari highly praised the initiative. He remarked that such independent accolades serve as a vital motivational catalyst, driving local administrations to innovate further and implement robust developmental policies tailored to their respective regions.
